Do you have someone in your life who guides, teaches, and gives you advice from the heart? I am so lucky to have Laura~ my friend, mentor, & today’s “always growing” feature.

Laura & I met in 2010 when she started selling my Ortman Family Vineyards wines in California. We immediately clicked over our love of motherhood, food, and Pinot Noir.

“As soon as I started wine sales, I knew I never needed another career change. I love the flexibility and working with accounts.” She is self-taught in wine knowledge & sales, and I believe that is what makes her so good at her job. Wine sommeliers and buyers tell me she’s kind, approachable, and funny.

Laura is a wife (38 years & still best friends!) and mother of 2 amazing adults, but her favorite role is grandmother to sweet Bodhi.

What is your word for 2022? LOVE

What is your favorite city/country & why? 

Paris, France – I’ve only been once but had always dreamed of it. My experience was exactly how I imagined it, and I definitely plan to go back in the next year or two. It is such a beautiful, enchanting city with so much culture. If only I could eat the baguettes and cheese…🇫🇷

What are a few healthy ways you deal with stress?

Yoga, walks, counting my blessings.

What makes you push through?

Knowing I am strong

Family, friends, vacations, & new clothes 👗

What is the last thing you did for the first time?

ATV ride in Mexico
