You did everything right. Raised good humans. Built the career, the brand, the family.
You were SO good at it. Too good.
And somewhere in all that showing up, you stopped being all the way in your own life.
Then one day, the noise died down. The kids started leaving. The calendar started clearing. The relief everyone promised didn't show up. The silence did.
And the silence is so GD loud.
You catch yourself in the mirror and don't recognize the woman looking back. Thinning hair, crepey skin, the mom pooch. And you think, who the hell is that?
You can't answer what you want for dinner. Not what the kids will eat. Not what works between practices. What YOU want. You used to know. Now you draw a blank.
That's not a breakdown. That's an awakening.
You built a good life, and you deserve to be proud of it. AND you went a little numb inside it. Both are true. And now you're allowed to want a life of your own.
